About Us

We're in business to save our home planet.

In 2002 when a group of passionate young adventurers—who loved exploring the mountains of Squamish and Whistler—set out on a mission. Their goal was simple but ambitious: to create outdoor clothing that could withstand the unpredictable mountain weather, offering both warmth and lightweight comfort. Drawing inspiration from their experiences on the trails, they decided to design a unique type of fleece jacket that would combine the insulating properties of traditional gear with the breathability and flexibility needed for active exploration.

What started as a few sketches and handmade prototypes quickly evolved into a full-fledged outdoor apparel brand. Thus, BWO was born, a brand founded on the values of adventure, craftsmanship, and resilience. Over the years, BWO has become synonymous with quality, innovation, and sustainability, offering outdoor enthusiasts versatile and durable clothing suited for any journey.

In its early days, many BWO products carried no visible logo. The philosophy was simple yet powerful:
A high-quality garment should be accessible to everyone, without being defined by a brand mark.

At the heart of BWO's offerings are our lightweight and insulated fleece jackets. Designed to keep you warm during cold mountain mornings and cool during afternoon treks, these jackets are the perfect balance of performance and comfort. We continue to refine our designs, using advanced materials and eco-conscious production methods, ensuring our customers are equipped to tackle the outdoors with ease and confidence.

At BWO, we believe in more than just selling products. We aim to inspire a deep connection with nature, encouraging others to embrace the outdoors and all its challenges. We are committed to sustainability, from the fabrics we choose to our packaging, and we constantly strive to minimize our environmental footprint. Above all, we remain true to the spirit of adventure that started it all—always innovating, always exploring, and always pushing boundaries.
